Rubber seals use different rubber materials due to different environment and occasion requirements. Rubber oil seal materials include nitrile rubber, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, acrylate rubber, fluorine rubber, fluorosilicone rubber, and perfluoroelastomer. etc. seal materials, etc.
1. Nitrile rubber
A very commonly used material in the production of seals, oil-resistant sealing products are mainly made of nitrile rubber.
Nitrile rubber has excellent resistance to fuel oil and aromatic solvents, and can meet common requirements with low cost.
2. Natural rubber
Compared with most synthetic rubbers, natural rubber has good comprehensive mechanical properties, cold resistance, high resilience and wear resistance. Natural rubber is not resistant to mineral oil, but is stable in vegetable oils and alcohols.
3. Acrylic rubber
Acrylic rubber has excellent comprehensive properties of heat resistance and oil resistance. The operating temperature can be as high as 180℃-200℃. It is widely used in products requiring high temperature resistance and heat oil resistance.
Acrylic rubber is called automotive rubber. It is a suitable material for manufacturing rubber oil seals, O-rings, gaskets and hoses used at high temperatures. It is an important material in the automotive industry.
Acrylic rubber also has many other excellent properties - ozone resistance, flex resistance, sunlight aging resistance, good air tightness, rubber transparency and good fabric adhesion, etc.
Acrylic rubber has a wide range of applications - sponge products, deep well exploration, partial replacement of silicone rubber and adhesives in the electrical industry.
4. Fluorine rubber
1. Fluororubber refers to a synthetic polymer elastomer containing fluorine atoms on the carbon atoms of the main chain or side chain.
Advantages of fluorine rubber
Among rubber sealing materials, its heat resistance (decomposition temperature is greater than 400 degrees Celsius), oil resistance (various fuels, hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, synthetic oil), solvent resistance, weather resistance (resistance to external radiation, ozone resistance, radiation resistance ), with the best resistance to chemical media. In all high-temperature environments where nitrile rubber and polyurethane rubber cannot be used or in special working fluids, fluorine rubber can be used as a material for seals. It does not spontaneously ignite, does not support combustion, and has spontaneous combustion in case of fire. It has good physical and mechanical properties and has the best comprehensive strength among all synthetic rubbers. It is commonly known as the "King of Rubber" and has become one of the indispensable and alternative basic materials in modern industry, especially in high-tech fields
