Use Standard Of Teflon Flange Gasket

Tetrafluoro-flange gasket is a kind of non-metallic gasket, which is generally composed of two parts: cladding layer and embedded material. The cladding layer is corrosion resistant and is usually made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with inserts (fillers) that are more resilient and are usually asbestos rubber sheets. The sealing gasket can be made into V-shape, U-shape and L-shape according to different structure of the inner core. In petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, some containers, pipes, connected valves, and PTFE gaskets are often used for sealing to ensure the cleanliness of materials.

When using rubber gaskets, the following factors should be fully considered:

1. Having good elasticity and recover ability, it can adapt to pressure changes and temperature fluctuations. Its appropriate softness can fit well with the contact surface;

2. Do not pollute the process medium;

3. No hardening at low temperature, and small shrinkage;

4. Good machining performance, easy installation and compression;

5. Non - adhesive sealing surface, easy to remove.
