1.Plate rubber bearing: except under special conditions (cold areas), it has basically replaced the commonly used bearings like linoleum cushion, curved steel plate, reinforced concrete pendulum and other forms. The allowable compressive stress of rectangular and circular bearings is 10MPa, which is suitable for Bridges with small spans. It is not suitable to use spherical crown rubber bearings or slope rubber bearings in highway Bridges and culverts.
2.Basin-type rubber bearing: it has the advantages of large bearing capacity,
large allowable displacement and flexible rotation, etc. It has been widely used in long-span bridges .
3.Shock absorbing rubber bearing includes: bearing made of specially configured rubber material with high damping, lead-core rubber bearing with a lead rod vertically inside, curved plate damping bearing made by adding the improved curved plate damper on the basis of the bridge plate rubber bearing, rebound sliding shock isolation bearing that consist of rubber core and overlapping placed Ptfe sheets with holes of which the two neighboring sheets slide with each other, seismic basin-type bearing for reducing the seismic dynamic amplification factor, bearing composed of other energy dissipation devices that making use of the elastic reset characteristics of rubber, etc. Those bearings have been used in bridge applications and achieved good damping effect.
