Generally, the oil pipes of motorcycles are made of oil-resistant rubber. Rubber is a thermoplastic elastomer and has elastic. Therefore, the fuel pipes of motorcycles are basically universal.
Nitrile rubber is the most common oil-resistant rubber. Nitrile rubber is a mixture of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It has excellent resistance to petroleum and non-polar solvents, and it also has good mechanical properties. These properties mainly depend on the content of acrylonitrile in the rubber. When the content of acrylonitrile is higher than 50%, it has strong resistance to mineral oil and fuel.
The advantages of nitrile rubber are as follows:
Good oil resistance, water resistance, aging resistance and high pressure oil resistance;
Good pressure change performance, wear resistance and tensile performance;
Used to make rubber parts for fuel tanks and lubricating oil tanks;
It is used for rubber parts such as rubber tubing used in fluid media such as petroleum-based hydraulic oil, gasoline, water, silicone oil, diester-based lubricating oil, and glycol-based hydraulic oil.
